REDEVELOPMENT COOPERTOWNE CENTER, SOMERDALE, NEW JERSEY.

The construction for the redevelopment of the former Lions Head Plaza, a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Cinemark Theater-16 screens, and LA Fitness anchored center, will start in May 2009 with the grand opening in August 2010. The shopping center will reopen as “CooperTowne Center”.
The development is a 40-acre retail project located at the intersections of White Horse Pike and Evesham Road in Somerdale, NJ. Some of the plans for the center include a new façade, opening the line of site from White Horse Pike, the installation of a new pylon, and a traffic signal on Whitehorse Pike. The new traffic signal will provide shoppers unrestricted access from White Horse Pike (Route 30) which has daily traffic counts of more than 34,000 cars.
Located in the heart of Camden County, the area has a diverse population of more than 246,000 people living within a 5-mile radius of the site with an average household income of $73,005.
