L. NAZARETH TWP., Pa. – A popular furniture retailer is expanding its footprint in the region.
Bob’s Discount Furniture, an omnichannel furniture retailer that prides itself on “everyday low prices with no phony sales or gimmicks,” is opening its second Lehigh Valley location at 3764 Easton Nazareth Highway in Lower Nazareth Township.
The new location will occupy the space recently vacated by Staples in the Northampton Crossings shopping center.
It will supplement another Lehigh Valley Bob’s Discount Furniture store that opened in 2018 at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall Township.
Founded in 1991 by Bob Kaufman, Bob’s Discount Furniture is one of the country’s largest and fastest growing furniture retailers.
Keeping true to its founding principle that everyone deserves quality furniture, the Connecticut-based company provides “unsurpassed value with honesty and integrity,” according to a business description.
“Through all the work that happens behind the scenes, Bob’s engineers this value, offering its discount on a wide variety of stylish, quality furnishings, mattresses, and home accents,” the description continues.
Bob’s cuts out the middlemen, buying directly from manufacturers, to keep costs and prices low.
Shoppers don’t have to haggle as they “get the best price” no matter when they shop, with “no phony sales or gimmicks,” according to the business’ website.
Individuals can shop a wide assortment of in-stock items, including the latest furniture styles for the bedroom, dining room, living room, office and children’s room.
Bob’s also carries a wide assortment of mattresses, area rugs and home décor.
Items are stocked in warehouses “so you can get what you want in days… not weeks, months, or eons,” the company states.
Additionally, each Bob’s store features a cafe with complimentary gourmet coffee, ice cream, cookies and candy.
Bob’s has more than 180 stores across 24 states, including 16 Pennsylvania locations.
In addition to the Whitehall store, other regional Bob’s locations operate in Spring Township, Berks County; and Upper Merion and Upper Moreland townships, Montgomery County.
At the Northampton Crossings, Bob’s is joining a lineup of more than two dozen tenants, including Sam’s Club, Kohl’s, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Regal Cinemas and Red Robin.
A Ross Dress for Less store opened in October at the site of a former Sears Appliance & Hardware store.
Additionally, Crumbl Cookies and Club Pilates opened at the site of a former Catherine’s women’s clothing store in 2022, and a Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection store reopened in late 2023 following six months of renovations.
